Delores “Dee” Bibb
cherished member of the Westminster community and a beacon of loving kindness, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 8th, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on September 14th, 1940, in Fair Play, South Carolina, Delores was a person whose life was marked by a quiet strength and a nurturing spirit.
Delores, known affectionately to friends and family simply as Dee, was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ralph Bibb, her father, L.C. Haley, and her mother, Mae Blakely Haley. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication in her son, Gregg Bibb of Westminster, and a daughter, Debbie Bibb Carron of Seneca. Delores’s life was further enriched by the bonds she shared with her sisters, Linda Stone (Mendel) of Westminster, Sandra Vaught (the late John) of Seneca. She was affectionately known as “Mama Dee” to her grandchildren, Jason Bibb, Jordan Bibb Troidl (Daniel), Mackenzie Bibb Taylor (Jesse), and Reilly Sparks, will carry forward the memories of their grandmother’s faith-filled heart and thoughtful nature.
Delores spent her professional years as a skilled seamstress at Jantzen, where her attention to detail and craftsmanship were greatly appreciated. Her work was not just a job but a demonstration of her meticulous nature and her ability to weave love into the fabric of everything she touched. Delores was also a dedicated member of the Retreat Baptist Church, where she lived her faith and contributed to the community through her involvement and service.
Beyond her work and church life, Delores had a great passion for gardening, which was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her home and the vegetables that graced her family’s table. Her love for cooking was another way she expressed her care for others, often preparing meals that brought her family together and created lasting memories.
