Defendant’s admissions bring prison term

Crimes to which a defendant admitted his guilt have brought a prison term meted out in the opening day today of the Oconee General Sessions Court.  Prosecutors say John Michael Zaniboni Jr., pleaded guilty to assault and battery first degree, attempted armed robbery, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Those pleas were followed by Judge Sprouse’s sentence which amounts to a term of eight years in the state’s penal system.
