DeAndre Hopkins

Five-time NFL All-Pro wide receiver former Daniel High and Clemson Tigers DeAndre Hopkins has joined the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football program as their assistant wide receivers coach.  Hopkins transitioned to the collegiate coaching ranks shortly after spending a week working in a guest coaching capacity with the New England Patriots under Mike Vrabel during their training camp.  Hopkins reunited with Georgia Tech offensive coordinator George Godsey. Godsey was his quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator during his prime years with the Houston Texans (2014–2016) and served as his tight ends coach with the Baltimore Ravens.  Despite taking the coaching position, Hopkins explicitly clarified on social media that he has not officially retired from the NFL and remains open to playing for a pro contender if the opportunity arises.
