Criminal charges and driving citations follow traffic stop

A policeman in Seneca became suspicious about a full-sized pickup truck that displayed a 45-day paper license plate. The officer’s resulting investigation produced traffic citations and criminal charges against the driver. The traffic stop occurred late Monday night on S. Cherry Street. The police charged Kenneth Vernon Burnette of Seneca with distribution of methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana and issued tickets for driving under suspension third offense or greater and failure to register vehicle.
