Corinth-Shiloh fire fighters seek the public’s help

Heavier traffic, more fires, accidents, and medical calls prompt Oconee’s volunteer Corinth-Shiloh Fire Station to request those they protect to make financial contributions.  The Corinth-Shiloh station has embarked on its annual fundraising campaign.  The fire department serves an increasingly busy section of Oconee–the Seneca-Clemson Corridor where there’s new home and commercial development spurred, in part, by Clemson University increasing enrollment.  The solicitation letter reads:  “We are nearing 300 emergency responses so far this year.  Our volunteers respond when you dial 911.  This demands lots of time, training, and energy from the college students and working people who volunteer with our station.”  Each resident and business in the service area is being asked to donate $100 dollar.
