Clemson University to Mark 25th Anniversary of 9/11 with Service and Remembrance Events

Clemson University and local partners will honor the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with two distinct community events aimed at service and remembrance. The observance begins on Thursday, September 10, with the inaugural Tigers Meal Pack for 9/11 Day, where volunteers will assemble shelf-stable meals for local food banks and pantries to support area families in need. The commemoration continues on Friday, September 11, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Littlejohn Coliseum, as Upstate Warrior Solution and Clemson Military & Veteran Engagement co-host a free 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Open to up to 2,500 participants of all fitness levels, the climb allows community members to honor victims, first responders, and service members by walking the concourse or tackling the equivalent of the World Trade Center’s 110 stories. Pre-registration for both the meal pack event and the stair climb is available online.
