Clemson grad students at work on concept vehicle

Twenty-five Clemson graduate students are set this summer to unveil the latest prototype concept vehicle, as part of a program sponsored by BMW of North America.  The goal for Deep Orange 17 is for the team of graduate students, with help from BMW engineers, to come up with a solar-integrated, energy-positive electric vehicle concept. The hope is to redefine vehicle efficiency by producing more energy than it would consume over a standard 24-hour commuting cycle.
