Clemson golfer plays at Tour Championship
Jacob Bridgeman has punched his ticket to the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club! The former Clemson golfer secured his spot after a stellar performance at the BMW Championship. Bridgeman shot a 9-under par 271 at Bellerive Country Club to finish in ninth place. His consistent play included rounds of 66, 72, 66, and 67. With this finish, he vaults to the No. 13 seed in the FedExCup standings heading into the final event of the season. This caps off an amazing season for the 26-year-old, highlighted by his first PGA Tour victory at the Genesis Invitational in February, where he took home a $4 million paycheck. Bridgeman is the third former Clemson Tiger to reach East Lake in consecutive years. He follows in the footsteps of Kyle Stanley and Lucas Glover. His No. 13 ranking is also the third-highest seed a Clemson player has ever held entering the finale.
