Clemson-Georgia viewing party

While the Clemson football Tigers are in Charlotte Saturday night for their opener with Georgia, their home base will stage a party for fans who’d like to mingle and watch the game outdoors.  City of Clemson announces a downtown viewing party to take place Saturday, with the section of College Avenue between Keith Street and SC 93 to be blocked off starting at 4:30 pm and re-open around one hour after the game is finished.  Cars parked inside the event area after 4:45 pm will be ejected from the event site and not allowed back for the duration of the game.  The city’s open container law will be suspended in the designated section of College Avenue between the hours of 6:30 pm and midnight.  Two large screens will be placed at midfield between Keller’s store and the police substation.  Those who party are strongly encouraged by the city to wear a facemask and maintain at least 2 yards (6 feet) of space between you and others.
