Clemson Football

The Clemson Tigers took center stage at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown today, as head coach Dabo Swinney shut down outside skepticism and lingering quarterback questions at the 2026 ACC Football Kickoff.  As the flashes faded and a sea of reporters locked in at 3:00 PM, the big talking point in Charlotte was who wasn’t on the trip. Clemson arrived as one of just five teams without a quarterback in attendance, choosing to leave probable starting signal-caller Christopher Vizzina back in Tiger Town.  When pressed on Vizzina’s absence and the ensuing quarterback battle, Swinney shrugged it off with his signature grin. “It’s not a big deal,” Swinney told the media crowd, emphasizing that he simply followed the conference guidelines by prioritizing his veterans and targeted player requests.  Instead of the quarterbacks, it was Clemson’s hard-hitting defense and hungry skill players driving the narrative.
