Christmas tree alight

More than 100 people watched last night as the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative gave light to its Christmas tree in Pickens.  Eddie Welmaker, a retired judge and a former Blue Ridge employee, served as the honorary tree lighter.  Second and third graders from Liberty Primary School sang carols.  Pastor Bart Turner of Oolenoy Baptist delivered the devotional.  Taking part in the event was Davis Wash of Edgefield, Miss South Carolina 2024.
