The San Francisco 49ers rolled over the Arizona Cardinals 24-3 in Monday Night Football in Arizona. San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith was 18 of 19 for 232 yards with three touchdowns, while Cardinals QB John Skelton went 32 of 52 for 290 yards with no touchdowns.

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was named ACC Offensive Back of the Week after throwing for a school-record 428 yards and five touchdowns in the Tigers’ 42-13 win over Wake Forest. The Tigers’ Sammy Watkins, who hauled in eight of Boyd’s passes for a school-record 202 yards and one touchdown, received ACC Receiver of the Week honors.

Georgia Tech athletic director Dan Radakovich has been named Clemson’s new athletic director, to replace Terry Don Phillips, who is set to retire next summer.  Radokovich has spent six years with the Yellow Jackets. He has also been an athletic administrator at South Carolina and LSU.

South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore hyperextended his right knee against Tennessee, causing injury to several ligaments, the school said in a release Sunday.  Coach Steve Spurrier said the injury is something Lattimore can come back from to play football again.  There were no fractures or additional injuries, according to team physician Jeffrey Guy.  Spurrier visited Lattimore on Sunday and […]
