Near Tamassee early today, a fast acceleration from a stopped position on Little River Road and an eventual quick turn onto Whitmire Church Road raised the suspicions of an Oconee County sheriff’s deputy. Westminster area accidents

Law enforcement officers report two accidents today, both of which apparently occurred near the Westminster city limits.  In one accident a driver’s vehicle hit a utility pole on 123 in the vicinity of the Seed Farm Road.  State troopers also reported a later accident with injuries on E. Main Street and Park Avenue.
