Returning to work tonight!

The members of Westminster Planning Commission return to work tonight on their city’s comprehensive plan.  They’ll meet in a work session at 6 at the Historic Train Depot.  Planning commissioners are Sandra Powell, Ken Sloan, Claudia Spearman, Wendell Tidwell and Steve White.

Oconee County drug round up

  Fourteen people were being sought by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office in a new version of “Operation Infinity” drug sweep.  By 4 p-m Friday, seven of the 14 had been arrested.  The number included one person jailed in another state.  The charges against 14 include drug distribution and unlawful neglect of children.

Campus police make arrest

A 22-year old man from The Bronx, New York has been arrested by Clemson campus police and charged with stealing a book bag containing a laptop computer.  The theft occurred Thursday at the university library. According to ClesmonUniversity the man arrested, Edward Ortiz, is neither a Clemson student, nor an employee.
