Campus police make burglary and robbery arrests

  Police at Clemson University have arrested two Pickens County men on charges of second-degree burglary and strong-arm robbery.  The university announcement states that Sunset residents Jared Michael Burdette and Clayton Scott Allen Vanden Berg are accused of entering an apartment Saturday afternoon at Lightsey Bridge Apartments on campus and forcibly taking a wallet and other items from the occupant.  […]

Lives saved near Westminster

A public safety source tells 101.7/WGOG NEWS that a pair of bystanders deserves the credit for saving two lives yesterday afternoon near Westminster.  A car overturned and caught fire on the Blackjack Road at Choestoea Road.  The bystanders are said to have rolled the car back onto its wheels and were able to extricate a married couple from that car.
