1st graders perform anti-litter skits

In advance of “The Great Oconee Cleanup,” first graders in Westminster are raising awareness about the problem of litter, with the hope that everyone will do their part to keep the county’s roadsides clean.  Students from Mrs. Nelson’s 1st grade class at Orchard Park Elementary School performed four skits at the start of last night’s city council meeting.

Midnight fire at The Reserve

Word reaching 101.7/WGOG NEWS of a serious fire that struck the restaurant at The Reserve home development on Lake Keowee.  Apparently it was a midnight hour fire, to which Oconee County’s Keowee fire Department sent resources, including a ladder fire truck.  We are attempting to learn more information from Pickens County’s Keowee Vineyard Fire Department thru its chief, Phil Black.
