Carolina gas prices drop, but for how long?

Gas prices in the Carolinas have decreased of late, and so have pump prices in the rest of the country.  After a drop of three cents, South Carolina’s average today is $2.33.  The motor club AAA says South Carolina’s is still one of the top ten cheapest for gasoline in the country.  Today’s North Carolina average price was down by four cents, to $2.45.  Prices have declined nationally, as well.  The national average today was $2.58. “At this time, it is too early to tell if the price drop signals a long-term trend of lower prices,”  said AAA spokesperson Tiffany Wright.  “With consumer demand still high and spring travel just around the corner, prices could remain stagnant or slightly increase.”
