Caggiano welcomed and Hartman bids farewell

The board of Oconee Economic Alliance and others turned out in large numbers today to welcome the county’s new economic development recruiter and bid farewell to her predecessor. Annie Caggiano was applauded when she was introduced and she spoke to the meeting held at the Oconee campus of Tri-County Tech. She succeeds Janet Hartman who, with her husband, starts a new adventure in California. Zack Hinton, the board chairman, presented a small gift to Hartman and those in the meeting room gave her a standing and sustained round of applause. For Caggiano, coming from the State Commerce Department in Columbia, Oconee is not an unfamiliar place. She graduated from nearby Clemson University and is well familiar with the economic development work done by Hartman and Hartman’s predecessor, Richard Blackwell.
