Bruce Lamar Rochester

Westminster – Bruce Lamar Rochester, 66, of 104 Iron Horse Drive, passed away Thursday, June 18th, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

 

   A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Norman Lee Rochester and Gladys Irene Lamb Rochester. Over the years Lamar wore many hats, he was raised and worked at Rochester Dairy, was a former pipefitter, owner and operator of the Water Hole and a retired cattle farmer. Mr. Rochester was a member of Earles Grove Baptist Church and had a great love for farming and riding motorcycles.

 

   Survivors include sisters, Rubynell Campbell, Carolyn Bramlett (Thomas) and Louise Donald; sister in law, Parnelle Rochester, and several niece and nephews.

 

   In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Arnold Rochester and Roger Rochester.

 

   A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, June 22, 2020 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel.  In lieu of a formal visitation, you may drop by Sandifer Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20th, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm to pay your respects and sign the register book.  Burial will follow service on Monday, June 22nd, 2020 at Earles Grove Church Cemetery.

 

   The family is at their respective homes.  Flowers are accepted or memorials in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 507 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
