Becky Bearden

Seneca – Vivian Rebecca “Becky” Dockins Bearden, 74, wife of Phillip Larry Bearden of 56 years, passed away on Monday, September 13th, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.


Becky was born in Oconee County, and was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Curtis Dockins and Helen Royster Dockins. Becky was a faithful homemaker, one of the founders of Oakway Farm and Garden and Kid’N Kaboodle day care. Becky was an active church member at Bethel Baptist Church having served as a Sunday School Teacher, vacation bible school teacher, floral committee, and later a dedicated member of Return Baptist Church.


Becky is survived by her devoted husband, Phillip Larry Bearden; daughters, Kelly Bearden Moncus (the late Kevin), Amy Bearden Duke (Pat); siblings, Pasty Smith (Russell), Mary Huff (Hal), Judy Rochester (Danny), David Dockins, Tim Dockins and Scotty Dockins (Lorri); eight grandchildren, Phillip Moncus, Caden Moncus, Alee Craig, Ava Craig, Bonnie Ann Duke, Mary Kate Duke, Abby Rose Duke, and Lillibeth Duke and one great grandson on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.


Becky is preceded in death by her brothers, infant Donnie Dockins, and Wayne Dockins.


A funeral service will be held, 4:00pm, Thursday, September 16th, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00 pm- 7:00pm, Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 at her home.
