Smoke on the mountain, once again

The Andrew Pickens Ranger District  plans two more prescribed burns today for a total of 1,383 acres. Traffic nightmare near West Union

As many as four cars wrecked late yesterday afternoon on highway 11 just north of West Union.  Although there were no personal injuries, public safety responders dealt with, what one called, a traffic nightmare with the wreckage and other traffic attempting to make its way past the wreck scene on the two-lane highway.
