Three hurt in Coffee Road accident

Three people hurt in an accident last night near Walhalla were sent to Greenville.  Their conditions were not immediately known this morning.  Chief Brandon Burton of the Walhalla Fire Department said the accident at 7 o’clock last night involved one car that rolled over on the Coffee Road near Busch Creek Road.

Jury rules guilty in case of home violence

An Oconee jury returned a guilty verdict yesterday against a man charged with hitting his wife at her Westminster area home.  Jeffrey Leonard Shelton was found guilty of criminal domestic violence second offense and received the maximum sentence of one year in prison and a $2,500 fine.  Shelton did not testify in his defense.  The jury heard Shelton’s estranged wife, […]

SC 130 late afternoon accidents

A driver who apparently had a medical issue was involved in two accidents late yesterday afternoon on SC 130 in Oconee County.  According to Keowee Fire Department, there were no injuries in the accidents.  One occurred at 130 and Katelynn Lane; the other, near the Oconee Nuclear Plant.  For a time, two-lane 130 was reduced to one lane travel.
