At 11 this morning, the board that governs Oconee elections meets to certify the results in this week’s municipal elections in Salem, Walhalla, and Westminster.  Although some of the outcomes were close, a spokeswoman says she expects no issues standing in the way of declaring the results final.

Seneca’s wholesale water deal with Pioneer Rural Water District will be discussed Monday night at City Hall.  According to the agenda, the contract is one of the items for executive session, to follow council’s regular November meeting.  The meeting will start at 6 o’clock.

Baby Read, the early age reading program, will have a presence tonight at Literacy Night events at two Seneca elementary schools.  Caren von Hippel, program founder, says her group will have tables set up at both the Blue Ridge and Northside schools and personnel available to explain to parents the importance of early reading.
