As yet, no construction date for Seneca’s Publix

More than seven months after the project was announced, there’s still no start date to build Seneca’s first Publix supermarket. A spokeswoman for the Florida-based chain, Kimberly Reynolds, said, “We are still working through our plans with the developer and thus we don’t have a construction start date at this point in time.” The space that Publix leased from Bi-Lo in a Rochester Highway shopping center near 123 serves as the anchor location in that shopping center. And Reynolds said also, “I can confirm that there is extensive work required at this site and that we look forward to providing Seneca residents with a beautiful new store they’ll be proud of.”
