ARC flash injures contractor
A contractor at work for Upcountry Fiber and Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative in Townville came in contact with an ARC flash, an electrical explosion, and has been sent to the burn center at Augusta, Georgia. A Blue Ridge spokeswoman says it was not a direct contact with an electrified line. At the time, the contractor was at work on broadband internet services. Credit is given for a swift EMS response and life-saving procedures before the injured worker was sent to the AnMed Health Medical Center.
