April has been a Wet Month

More rain was forecast than actually fell in Walhalla Thursday night. Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson said rainfall totals collected at her weather station at Hickory Hollow Farm in Walhalla were lighter than apparently what fell around Seneca and Clemson. For the county seat, Wilson only recorded .31 inches of rain with a high yesterday of 65 and an over night low of 43, but there was a thunderstorm in that. Wilson stated that we are over six inches already for the month of April. That is a little above average. Right around five inches is the normal average. Rainfall amounts may differ where you live; Wilson recorded these figures from her weather station in Walhalla, which is about one-mile from the county seat.
