Annual “North-South” game is Saturday

South Carolina’s top high school football players face off for one last time Saturday at Myrtle Beach in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl.  Kickoff will be 12:30 pm at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.  The event showcases 88 South Carolina players, not only for their athletic ability, but for their character on and off the field.  Two of those players will lead 44 Horry County students on a shopping excursion designed to bring an early Christmas to those Horry students.  Touchstone Energy, for which the game is named, is an alliance of local, independent, member-owned electric co-ops including the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative based in Pickens.
