An opportunity to speak out on Utica’s future

A division of Clemson University is giving the public the chance to speak out on what’s needed to economically revive a former textile community that borders Seneca city limits.  The College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences is spreading access to an online survey, with the purpose to understand Utica community needs, priorities and opinion for future economic growth in the designated Mill Hill Opportunity Zone.  The creation of opportunity zones that allow tax credits to developers is championed by a number of public officials, including U-S Senator Tim Scott and the Oconee County councilman Paul Cain, a former Utica resident.
