Fewer claims from locally displaced workers

South Carolina job counters saw fewer first-time unemployment claims for the week December 6-12, the latest numbers available.  For the preceding week, the tri-counties of Oconee, Anderson, and Pickens each numbered in excess of 100 new claims, but for December 6-12 two of those counties (Oconee and Pickens) dropped to double digits–with Oconee at 53 and Pickens at 82.  Anderson County numbered 122 claims.  Today is the day that there will be a job report covering the entire country.
