An admission from the city administrator

With leaves fallen from trees, the naked eye can gain a greater appreciation of the severe damage wrought by the EF3 tornado in Seneca and surrounding area.  Some of that debris remains eight months later.  Scott Moulder, city administrator, admitted last night the cleanup effort continues, but there are reasons for that.  They include the failure of some equipment.  The city must rely on the state DOT to remove some of the larger debris, but DOT has other commitments and its staff has been hampered by COVID-19.  At last night’s city council meeting, Moulder apologized to a Julian Drive resident who requested a status report on cleanup operations.  The administrator said, “All we can do now is aplogozie and say we are way behind, but we are working to get through.”
