Seneca student alternate to national conference

A senior at Seneca High, Erica Colette Wearing, will serve as an alternate delegate for the 56th Annual U-S Senate Youth Program to take place in March in Washington, D-C. The announcement was made by State Superintendent Molly Spearman. Erica is the Senior Class Student Council Representative and president of FFA at her school. She’s the daughter of Renee and Scott Street of Simpsonville. The U-S Senate Youth Program was established in 1962 to “increase young Americans’ understanding of the interrelationships of the three branches of government, the caliber and responsibilities of federally-elected and appointed officials, and the vital importance of democratic decision-making not only for America, but for people around the world.”
