15-year prison sentence handed down in Pickens County

A 15-year prison  term has been handed down to a 37-year old man who pleaded guilty to entering a Pickens County home armed with what appeared to be a rifle.  Defendant Kelsie Travan McMullan pleaded guilty Monday to armed robbery and burglary first degree, and possession of weapon during a violent crime.  According to the 13th Solicitor’s Office, McMullan pointed the rifle at two children and threatened to kill them if the adults in the home did not give him money.  The robber got away with a debit card and tried to use it at an ATM.
