Atlanta area woman charged in Oconee traffic death

A 50-year-old Atlanta area woman was jailed Friday night at Walhalla, having been charged in the death March 31 of a man reported to have been walking at night on 123 near Westminster.  Spokesman for the state patrol, Mitchell Ridgeway, today confirmed the arrest of Kenworth driver Marnithia Shaunta Tulloss, 50, of Stone Mountain, Georgia on the charge of hit-and-run accident with death.  Tulloss’s arrest came in the investigation, Ridgeway said, of the death of David Wayne Lay. She was jailed at the Oconee Detention Center late Friday night.  The trooper said Tulloss was denied bond in a hearing held Saturday.
