From a budget that exceeded $100 million, Oconee public schools spent nearly $61 million on instruction. A breakdown of expenditures from the school district’s FY 2012 audit report shows 54% was spent on face-to-face teaching, which covers the costs of teachers, substitutes, and instructional assistants.
