The state police are headed to Westminster. A spokesman for the S.C. Law Enforcement Division released this one-sentence statement this afternoon to 96.3/WGOG NEWS: “The State Law Enforcement Division has been requested to conduct a preliminary investigation involving the Westminster Police Department.” That statement from SLED’s Thom Berry was the extent of comment he made, although we have indication that City of Westminster officials this afternoon are working on a public statement.
