West-Oak High School has hired a former Newberry College standout to be its next head football coach.  Athletic Director Tim Sheriff says Josh Pierce will take over the Warrior program from Jay Brannon, who resigned following the 2012 campaign.  Pierce played running back at Newberry, where he garnered two-time all-conference recogition and MVP honors.  Pierce has nine years coaching experience, the past six spent at Crescent High School in Starr-Iva.  He served as Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Tigers.
