Walhalla has begun to find use for that additional one-cent tax on a cost of a meal that the city began collecting last summer. Chairman T-Jay Bagwell of the General Government Committee says the city has been approved for a Heritage Corridor Grant will pay for renovations to the 23-year old community depot, as well as work to the grounds at Kaufman Square. Bagwell says the city will apply hospitality tax funds to supplement the grant, as well as paying for a new roof over the city gymnasium.
