A man found on the driveway outside a home fire near Walhalla was flown to the regional burn center at Augusta, Georgia. Neither the man’s condition, nor his identity, was made available last night to 96.3/WGOG NEWS. Captain Mark Hollifield of the Walhalla Fire Department discovered the burn victim in front of a single-wide mobile home on Tammy Lane, near the White Cut Road, north of the city limits. Yesterday afternoon’s fire destroyed the home. Hollifield says the cause of the fire remains under investigation. One other person lived in the home but, according to Hollifield, that individual was away at the time of the fire.
