A bus carrying 15 students turned over off the road in an after-school accident near Walhalla. Authorities say two students suffered apparent minor injuries on Pond Road near Poor Farm Lake. At the time, the road was slick from yesterday’s rain. Dr. Michael Thorsland, assistant superintendent of Oconee public schools, says the district will follow protocol in determining why the accident occurred. That protocol includes a determination by the investigating South Carolina Highway Patrol.
