The police say two Seneca residents were arrested today in a drug bust, in which a K-9 was used to detain one suspect who ran. Qawi Aziz Kabir, formerly Michael Bernard Christian, and Gladys Rafiah Elmore were charged with trafficking crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. The police say Kabir was also charged with resisting arrest when he jerked away from an officer and began to flee. According to an announcement by the police department, at 6:40 this morning the police tactical response team made entry into 303 Hunter Street where Kabir and Elmore were detained. SLED agents assisted with the execution of the warrant and, during the search, agents reported finding a large amount of crack cocaine, marijuana, and U-S currency.
