Army Sgt. 1st Class George Addis has returned stateside after overseas deployment at a forward operating base in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the official name to anti-terrorism military operations involving U-S troops and partners. Addis is a signal supports system chief assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military 18 years. He’s the son of Dwight and Hope Addis of Walhalla and a 1994 Walhalla High gradate.
