A recycling program offered to travelers is becoming part of the offerings at the S.C. Welcome Center at Fair Play. The “SC Welcomes You to Recycle” program is a public-private partnership that gives travelers the opportunity to recycle aluminum cans, plastic bottles and newspapers. More than two million people every year stop at South Carolina welcome centers. Oconee’s, at Fair Play, will be only the second in the state to add recycling, but eventually plans call for all nine centers statewide to feature the program.
