The appeal by an Oconee industry of a sewer discharge change goes before the board of the state Department of Health and Environmental Control. At its Columbia meeting this morning, the board is to consider Greenfield Industries’ appeal of a DHEC staff decision applying stricter federal standards to the finished metals that Greenfield discharges into the collector system of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority.
