Jail meeting time change

If you plan to go to next week’s meeting about the latest plans for a new Oconee jail, there’s a time change. Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Oconee Sheriff’s Department, says Tuesday night’s meeting at the Walhalla Depot will begin one hour earlier than first announced. The new start time is 6:30 p-m.

Oconee County Dispatch reports a medical helicopter flew two persons injured in an early morning traffic accident. According to the state patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 3:30 at S.C. 24 and Eva Frank Lane. No immediate word on the conditions of the injured.
