Oconeean dies five weeks after home fire

A 51-year old Oconeean has lost his battle to recover from burns at home last month near Walhalla. Coroner Karl Addis this afternoon announced the death of Timothy Neal Sammons of Tammy Lane, Walhalla. Since the October 8 fire at his home, Sammons had been a patient at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. No autopsy is planned. Addis ruled Sammons’ death accidental.
