Not a sinkhole after all!

At first what happened Saturday to street in an Oconee home development was thought to have been a sinkhole or, at least, the makings of one. The depression found on W. Camelia Lane in the Millbrook subdivision, according to Seneca Light and Water’s Bob Faires, turned out to be a broken service line that “washed out” beneath the asphalt pavement. Crews made repairs and, in the process, put into use Light and Water’s new vac truck. Faires says a contractor will be asked to re-pave the affected road surface.
