Oconee County resident Andrea King is the Upstate coordinator for the Lutheran Services Carolinas program for therapeutic foster care. Currently, there are four Oconee County households that have been approved to offer therapeutic foster care. For the household parents, the program offers a higher stipend than that which is normally available to standard foster care parents. It’s a specialized care for special children.
