The U-S Navy is working to launch its Great Green Fleet of ships and jets powered by alternative fuel sources and, Chris Tindal says, lots of bio-fuels will be needed. Tindal, the Navy’s deputy assistant secretary for energy, discussed the efforts during a visit to Clemson University. Testing on the Great Green Fleet is under way, and Tindal said the Navy is looking for more sources of bio-fuels in the U-S to power the fleet, which is set to launch in 2016.
