Additional charges have been filed against a woman accused in a series of telephoned bomb threats this month in the Seneca area. Campus police at Clemson have announced two felony counts of making a bomb threat against Melissa Ann Griggs. The 38-year old Griggs was served with the warrants at the Oconee Detention Center, where she has been held since Friday on similar charges in that county. University police say the first incident occurred January 30 when Hendrix Student Center was evacuated by staff members after a woman caller said she overheard someone say the word “bomb.” On February 4, a female caller told the Hendrix information desk that there was a bomb in the building. The police searched the building and found nothing.
