The Foothills Trail Conference has accepted a $1 thousand donation from Johnson Controls. A worldwide technology and manufacturing company, Johnson Controls made the donation as part of its environmental stewardship program called Blue Sky. For several years, the company has donated money to assist with maintenance of the 77-mile hiking trail between Oconee State Park and Table Rock State Park. Employees of the Johnson Controls Seneca plant also volunteer as workers on parts of the trail. The grant this year will be used to buy new maintenance tools.
